A short ad film celebrating India’s first all-women underground rescue team at Hindustan Zinc. The narrative highlights their training, skills, and resilience while aligning with the theme “Invest in Women,” positioning HZL as a company that supports diversity and inclusion within the mining sector.
We began by immersing ourselves in HZL’s vision to celebrate India’s first all - women underground rescue team. Through stakeholder meetings with HZL’s leadership and on-site engagement with the Women Officers, we uncovered their stories of grit, resilience, and pioneering spirit. This discovery phase highlighted the physical intensity and emotional depth of their roles, key insights that shaped the film’s narrative.
The core challenge was to authentically represent their journey while aligning with the global theme “Invest in Women.” We defined the storytelling framework around: Breaking stereotypes in a male-dominated industry. Capturing duality, their rigorous training and high-pressure rescue missions. Positioning HZL as a trailblazer in diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.
We crafted a script built on an inner monologue, reflecting the officers’ strength and determination. Pre-production involved meticulous planning: Participant preparation through briefings to ensure comfort during filming. Detailed shoot itineraries balancing safety protocols with creative needs inside active mines. Visual strategy to capture intensity, resilience, and empowerment. During production, we managed mining constraints, coordinated resources, and ensured daily alignment with HZL’s marketing team.
Post-production streamlined the storytelling into a 1:30-minute ad film. Through 2–3 refined iterations, we shaped a visually compelling, emotionally resonant film that celebrated the officers’ unmatched courage and positioned HZL as a leader in empowering women.
The “Women of Valor” film became a bold statement of resilience, diversity, and empowerment, authentically portraying the journey of India’s first all-women underground rescue team while reinforcing HZL’s commitment to inclusion.
